Hello,my dear friends.
It has been a few days I didn’t post up any bento…hehe…was busy with my Lunar New Year cookies making and the spring cleaning…finally, all these works have been done, and we are waiting for the actual day to come…yeehar…yahooo… ^.^
I made two bentos for my sons last night with Lunar New Year and bunnies themes. This was for my youngest son…Gong Xi Fa Cai bento..hehe..
In the lower tier were rice and layered with red crab meat. Then I used cheese, nori and crab meat to make some peach blossom flowers, a bunny and the wording to decorate the bento which full of Lunar New Year feel…hehe..
There are tempura prawns, tempura fish slices, broccolli, baby carrot and grapes in the upper tier of the bento.
Here’s the bento for my eldest son, a pair of bunny to wish you auspicious and propitious in the new year.
I mix the white rice with green color and used a rabbit cutter to cut out two bunnies and decorated them with ham, nori and black sesame seeds. For the heart, I used two different heart cutters to cut two hearts from ham and cheese. The word “吉” was cut free hand from the cheese as well with the help of a toothpick. This “吉” mean lucky and auspicious.
Other goodies in the bento, tempura fish slices, broccoli, minced meat with sausage rolls, baby carrot, cherry tomato and grapes.
These two bentos were my last Lunar New Year theme bento for this year…my son will starts his new year holiday from tomorrow. Have a great weekend and wish all of you Gong Xi Fa Cai (恭喜发财) and Happy Lunar New Year (新年快乐)!!!
