Hi friends!!!
After one week Lunar New Year breaks…we back to normal routine life, and I am back to bento making life too…heheh…
Another four days to Valentine’s Day, therefore I start my bento today with this lovely Valentine’s Day theme bento, BEE MINE…
I use some rice seasoning mix to color the rice to purple color and placed the rice in the lower tier of the box. Put in one pair of bees couple on top of the rice. To make the bees…I boiled the quail eggs the put them into the yellow color water to color them with yellow color. Then, cut some tiny stripes from a piece of nori and circle around the eggs, put in the eyes and mouth of the bees from nori too. I used two pairs of green leaves food picks as the wings of the bees. The heart shape trail were made of black sesame seeds and the words “BEE MINE” were cut from crab meat.
On the upper tier of the box, I have included some fried chickens, broccoli, grapes, mandarin orange and three cucumber flowers.
I bought this 2-tier box while shopping at the hypermarket yesterday. The amount of food that can fit into the box is just nice and enough for my son…so decided to use it this morning, although the cover image is not so suitable with the theme…heheh…
