爱。开心便当のOwl Chicken Burger

Whenever my son see the above owl soft toy, he will request me to make him an owl bento. This happen several times…but…don’t know why, I don’t feel like making owl, but in order to stop him from requesting again and again, I decided to make for him this morning, and the little boy was so happy when he saw the bento. Looking at his smiling face, I knew I had done a good job.🙂

I cut 2 peices of Gardenia raisin oatmeal bread with a round cutter, after that I put the chicken burger pattie on the bread, layered with letture and a slice of cheese, and cover with the bread again. On the top of the burger, I decorated it as an owl. I used BBQ cheese, normal cheese, cucumber and nori for the big eyes. I cut a small triangle nori for its beak. For the claws, I used a star cutter to cut out a small star from the BBQ cheese, then cut into half, and place them on the bread. Last but not least, I decorated the body with stars and I found a good pair of wings for the owl…the angel wings food picks..haha…perfect match.

Since the burger already consists of meat, bread and vegetables, so I just included some small seedless red grapes.

Update: Sonoma Bento is celebrating her 50th bento blog post by having an awesome giveaway. Giveaway end this 22nd, so hurry!! Congratulations to Sonoma Bento.🙂

The wing picks are brilliant and I love the way you were creative with the star cutter to make cute little owl talons. It looks great! And thanks for following my blog and mentioning this contest! Good luck!
