Yeehar…is Friday, weekend is here. Happy..happy…happy!!! 🙂
I made some Ki-Ka-Ku (金瓜喜板) yesterday. I am not sure what is the English name for this tradisional chinese steamed bun, but when I searched through the net, I found most of them name it as it’s Hokkian name, Ki-Ka-Ku. I kept few for today’s breakfast and bento.
I put two pieces of the Ki-Ka-Ku in a big sillicon cup and decorated the top one to make it as Mr. Happy. I used a nori cutter to cut out the eyebrows and eyes for Mr. Happy. The big mouth was cut free hand. I cut out a piece of small sausage for his pink tongue. The hands was ki-ka-ku too. I used the bones food picks for Mr. Happy’s foot. There are fish nuggets and a fresh prune in the bento too.
Mr. Happy in the 2008 TV series The Mr. Men Show looked exactly as he did in the books. He co-hosts a morning show called “Good Morning Dillydale” with Little Miss Sunshine. His catchphrase: “Wonderful!” He also has a deepish voice, sounding like a stereotypical game show host.
Have a happy weekend and joyful days just like my Mr.Happy..haha.
