I bought some strawberry mantou (Chinese steamed bun/bread) and was kept inside my fridge quite some time back. I only realised it yesterday…LOL…I am glad these mantou have not past the expiry date!
I steamed two strawberry mantou and used the pink marshmallow for decorations. I used the heart shape cutter to cut out the piggys’ ears and stick them to the mantou while it’s still warm. Then, cut the noses free hand and used a straw to cut out the small holes on the noses and then stick them to the mantou. The eyes were made from nori.
I have included two Marmite chicken drummettes which I cooked last night for dinner and my son requested me to reserve for him for this morning’s bento. There were two fresh strawberries and some fresh blackcurrents in the bento too.
