爱。开心便当のGhost Bunny & Happy Ghosts

Halloween is near, everyone hotting up for Halloween with a spooky collection such as costumes and bentos.  I never celebrate Halloween, and our people here also don’t really celebrate Halloween.  But, after looking at all the Halloween themes bento out there…I was in the mood of making some Halloween theme bento too…and this is my first bento to welcome Halloween this year.

I came across this Ghost Bunny while I was doing some research on the net for Halloween. The Ghost Bunny is so cute and if all those ghosts are as cute as this then I’m happy for them to come and haunt me…LOL.

I made a Nutella hazelnut chocolate sandwich this morning. On top of it, I used nori and BBQ cheese to make a little cute Ghost Bunny.  First, I cut the shape of the bunny out from a sheet of nori, and cut the bunny shape from a piece of cheese too.  At the same time, cut the ears, eyes, and hand and removed these out from the Ghost Bunny cheese. Put the nori on top of the sandwich and topped with the cheese, this is much less work than cutting out those tiny face detials from the nori.🙂

After that, I pan fried two pieces of tempura chicken nuggets and made them as Happy Ghosts. The red hats and the white hands were cut from the imitation crab meat, and I used some spaghetti sticks to pin them on the nuggets. Used nori/seaweed for the face detials.  There were two hard-boiled quail eggs that I made them as ghosts too.  I also included three strawberries into the box.

My son was excited and happy when he saw this bento this morning.  He said these ghosts were too cute…not scary at all.  I think I should make something more spooky for him…LOL.

I included this bento in Shannon’s What’s For Lunch Wednesdays, Week 19. There are lots of great bento ideas in the post, so be sure to check it out and add your own bento too to share with others.
