This is another Halloween bento for this morning….the black cat and the vampire bats!
I made a simple Nutella hazelnut sandwich for my son and decorated it with black cat and vampire bats. The black cat is looking at those horror and ghastly vampire bats…therefore, we can only see it’s back…hehehe.
I cut the black cat and the vampire bats from nori last night so that I could finished the bento quicker this morning. Therefore, this morning I just need to place the nori on top of a piece of cheese, used a toothpick to cut the cat and the bats and placed them on top of the sandwich. Put in sesame seeds as bats’ eyes and vampire teeth which cut from imitation crab meat. I cut two small round crab meat as necklace for the cat. Also, some lettuce as the ground.
I filled up the other section of the box with two pieces of chicken nuggets and some black grapes. I could not find any Halloween food picks here, so I ended up making my own food picks with tooth picks and some glitter stickers. I just used one for today’s bento..the black cat and skull pick.
I am using a new bento box courtesy from my son’s classmate’s grandma. She bought many of these boxes and gave to the whole class…what a kind lady she is. Here’s the box with the lid on.
A cute box but with a spooky bento inside…haha.
