Valentine’s Day is coming very very soon…I am sure many couples are thinking and searching of Valentine’s gift for their loved ones. This is the headache job for me to find a suitable git for my husband too…hehe. But, there are two common gifts which most of the guy will give to the girl…a gift and a bouquet of roses. 🙂
Today’s bento will be about these two things, a gift and a bouquet of roses. I used yellow color rice seasoning mix to color the rice into yellow and made it as a gift box with the pink color egg sheet ribbon. Then, I made a bear from a quail egg and decorated it with nori for the facial details. But..I feel like this bear look more like a piggy..heheh..How about you? 😉
After that, I used some sausage stripes to make six roses and included some lettuce to make a bouquet of roses with two heart shape balloons (food picks).
Other goodies in the bento are chicken nuggets, heart shape prawn sausage, broccoli, pink flower made of egg sheet and grapes.
Do you spotted a diamond ring in the box too?? Yah…a diamond ring is hidden in the middle of the grapes…hehehe…but not a real diamond…it is just a sticker food pick, just to give some “sparkeling light” to the bento. 🙂
Happy Friday and have a great weekend ahead!! Cheers! 🙂

Hi friends!!! 🙂
After one week Lunar New Year breaks…we back to normal routine life, and I am back to bento making life too…heheh…
Another four days to Valentine’s Day, therefore I start my bento today with this lovely Valentine’s Day theme bento, BEE MINE… 🙂
I use some rice seasoning mix to color the rice to purple color and placed the rice in the lower tier of the box. Put in one pair of bees couple on top of the rice. To make the bees…I boiled the quail eggs the put them into the yellow color water to color them with yellow color. Then, cut some tiny stripes from a piece of nori and circle around the eggs, put in the eyes and mouth of the bees from nori too. I used two pairs of green leaves food picks as the wings of the bees. The heart shape trail were made of black sesame seeds and the words “BEE MINE” were cut from crab meat.
On the upper tier of the box, I have included some fried chickens, broccoli, grapes, mandarin orange and three cucumber flowers.
I bought this 2-tier box while shopping at the hypermarket yesterday. The amount of food that can fit into the box is just nice and enough for my son…so decided to use it this morning, although the cover image is not so suitable with the theme…heheh…

Hello,my dear friends. 🙂
It has been a few days I didn’t post up any bento…hehe…was busy with my Lunar New Year cookies making and the spring cleaning…finally, all these works have been done, and we are waiting for the actual day to come…yeehar…yahooo… ^.^
I made two bentos for my sons last night with Lunar New Year and bunnies themes. This was for my youngest son…Gong Xi Fa Cai bento..hehe..
In the lower tier were rice and layered with red crab meat. Then I used cheese, nori and crab meat to make some peach blossom flowers, a bunny and the wording to decorate the bento which full of Lunar New Year feel…hehe..
There are tempura prawns, tempura fish slices, broccolli, baby carrot and grapes in the upper tier of the bento.
Here’s the bento for my eldest son, a pair of bunny to wish you auspicious and propitious in the new year. 🙂
I mix the white rice with green color and used a rabbit cutter to cut out two bunnies and decorated them with ham, nori and black sesame seeds. For the heart, I used two different heart cutters to cut two hearts from ham and cheese. The word “吉” was cut free hand from the cheese as well with the help of a toothpick. This “吉” mean lucky and auspicious.
Other goodies in the bento, tempura fish slices, broccoli, minced meat with sausage rolls, baby carrot, cherry tomato and grapes.
These two bentos were my last Lunar New Year theme bento for this year…my son will starts his new year holiday from tomorrow. Have a great weekend and wish all of you Gong Xi Fa Cai (恭喜发财) and Happy Lunar New Year (新年快乐)!!!

I made this ladybugs bento for my son yesterday. Although I have started to make bento for son after school starts, but my lazy bugs still attacking me..so don’t feel like wake up early in the morning. Hope that I can get into the momentum next week.
I used a 2-tier black bento box which I bought it from 100Yen Shop last few months. The bottom layer was just white rice. I used imitation crab meats and nori to make two lovely ladybugs. The black color trail were black sesame seeds.
The upper layer were some broccoli florets, a big chunk of fried chicken and some cherries. I had put in some pretty food picks and two crab meat star flowers to the broccoli and chicken in order to brighten up the color contrast.
Happy Wednesday and happy bento-ing!! 🙂

The bees were made from inari and decorated with nori for the body stripes, fish balls slices for the wings, nori for the eyes, crab meat for the rosy cheeks, spaghetti stripes and tiny fish ball as the tentacles. Aren’t they look like bees?? 😉
Other than the three bees, there are two roasted chicken pieces, broccoli florets, a sausage flower and a Nanfeng Tangerine. The small star shape flower on the top of the broccoli were made from crab meat too.
