Good day, my friends!! 🙂
I bought a pack of ready-to-eat crepe weeks ago and was thinking to use it to make some sushi roll for son’s bento. But then, because was busy with the Lunar New Year celebration, I had forgotten it and left it inside the fridge. I will need to finish it before it went expired …hehe. Here’s the ready-to-eat crepe…
Just like making normal sushi roll…I put the crepe on the sushi rolling mat and layer a piece of nori on top. Then, gently spreading the rice equally on the nori. Put in the meat floss and start rolling the sushi until it form a sushi roll and cut it into 6 small sushi…that’s all for a simple meat floss crepe sushi. 🙂
I have included some broccoli, cherry tomatoes and grapes to complete the bento.
Here’s the sushi before putting in the bento box…
Have a great Tuesday!! Cheers! 🙂

I made two different sushi this morning, one with tamagoyaki and the other with crab meat, egg and cucumber. After that, I decorated the tamagoyaki sushi into two little chicks with nori and red color crab meat.
Other goodies: grapes, Nanfeng tangerine, fried meat roll and cherry tomatoes.

My son requested some sushi for bento last night. He began to like to eat sushi recently, after the tuna bread sushi that I have made for him…but with normal rice without vinegar and ingredients that he likes only. 🙂 So…I made him this Shikai Maki Sushi bento this morning.
I saw this beautiful type of sushi from YouTube quite some time ago, but do not try to make it until now. This is my second time to try and it was much better than my first..hehe. Actually it is easy and simple to make after you know the step-by-step procedures and try it youself for one or two times. I found this Make sushi at home! which provided step-by-step instructions and photos to help you make you own Shikai Maki sushi.
The sushi was made with rice, imitation crab meat and nori. There are fried prawns and broccoli florets and some lettuce in the box too.
My son was happy to see this beautiful sushi this morning and hope that he will enjoy eating it during his breaks. 🙂
Update: Submitted to “What’s for Lunch” Wednesday, Week 22, at Shannon’s post.

No kawaii bento this morning…I just made some bread sushi. I put in some mayonnaise tuna and cucumber as filling and used bread to replace the rice. With the help of the bamboo mat (makisu), I rolled up the bamboo mat, and shape the sushi into a cylinder. Then, cut the sushi roll into bite-sized pieces. This is simple and easy. 🙂
Included in the bento are baby carrots, sausage flower and black grapes.
My son doesn’t like to eat cucumber at all, especially raw cucumber…so I hope that by putting it into the sushi, he will eat it and hopefully he will like to eat cucumber sooner or later…hehehe.
